Oral surgery and periodontal care
Healthy teeth start with healthy gums.
Gum disease is the most common reason adults lose teeth, and it is treatable.

About this service
Periodontal disease damages the gums and, over time, the bone that holds your teeth. Early on it is treated with scaling and root planing. Where pockets are deep, flap surgery lets us clean the root surfaces directly and reshape the tissue so the gums can heal against the tooth.
We manage it in the office, from deep cleanings to flap surgery, treat dental infections, perform frenectomies, and refer to periodontists when a case needs a specialist.
We also treat dental infections and abscesses, including drainage where needed, and perform frenectomies, a small procedure that releases a tight band of tissue under the lip or tongue. For advanced or complex cases we work with periodontists we trust and coordinate your care.
Who it may be appropriate for
- Patients with bleeding, receding or tender gums
- People with deep gum pockets or bone loss on x-ray
- Anyone with a swollen area or abscess that needs treating
- Children or adults with a lip or tongue tie
